Banana bread is one of my favorite comfort foods. Banana bread was one of my mom’s specialties when I was growing up. She didn’t bake often, but when she did, it was usually banana bread. Or bran muffins – yuck – remember those things??

The recipe below is Paleo Banana Bread, meaning it contains no grains, gluten, dairy, vegetable oil, or refined sugar. I hope you like it!

Paleo Banana Bread

This super easy banana bread is easy to prepare, and a delicious snack or dessert. Grain free, it’s also healthy and filling as well!

  1. 2 large ripe bananas
  2. 2 eggs
  3. 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  4. 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  5. 3 tablespoons honey
  6. 2 cups almond flour
  7. 2 teaspoons baking powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  9. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  10. 1/2 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg
  11. 1/2 cup walnuts
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Put the bananas, eggs, coconut oil, vanilla, and honey in a blender and blend until combined.
  3. Add the almond flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg and blend on low until just combined.
  4. Brush an 8.5" x 4.5" loaf pan with coconut oil and pour the batter in evenly. Sprinkle the walnuts on top.
  5. Bake for 30-40 minutes, until top is well browned and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
